Martha Wainwright on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
Written by DavidOnMars
Chanteuse, Martha Wainwright, turned in a breathtaking performance on last night’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon episode. The song, “C’est Toujours La Même Histoire” was from a string of upcoming performances by Wainwright to take place at New York City’s Dixon Place Theater June 14-15th. The performances will focus on the songs of French songstress, Edith Piaf, who Wainwright lists as one of her greatest influences. The recordings of the show will be the basis for a live album in the near future.
Check out the video of her performance above. Fans in New York City may not want to miss the Martha Wainwright Sings Piaf shows!

Such an amazing song. Wainwright’s voice is beautiful as well, suits the song. I’ll be waiting for her live album!

Glad you enjoyed it Charbel. I confess, I am a HUGE Martha Wainwright fan (Rufus too!) which is by and large why I posted about it. But it was an amazing performance that deserved attention to so why not? I’m sure those shows in NYC will be amazing. If you’ve ever listened to Edith’s music, their voices are very similar, so Martha really does well singing her songs. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it and thanks for reading/commenting!
